90:00 Attention Music and Soccer Fans
Here's a message I want to pass on to you music and soccer fans. A chance to win some great free music and other prizes!! Good luck - Robert, KTG

Ariel Publicity and 90:00 are tag teaming on a big giveaway from August 6-16.  We’re giving out a prize package including the following:

CDs from Darrin James Band, Kiss the Girl, Electron Love Theory, John Taglieri, The McCloskey Brothers Band, Best Laid Plans, The Ratchets, signed albums from Dorado and Peter Miser, a Block t-shirt, Rotten Cheri t-shirt, a signed photo from Kiss the Girl, a Mazamba hat, and Puma soccer shorts.

And even if you don’t win the grand prize, we’ll be giving away CDs and t-shirts during the entry process and tournament with instructions through our posts.

How to enter:

From August 6-10, we’ll accept e-mail entries to seed participants in an online round-of-16 tournament.

On Monday, Aug. 6, we’ll post a set of 3 questions on the 90:00 website that can be answered through info found on the 90:00 website, 90:00 Myspace page, and Ariel’s Myspace page.  The first 50 to answer questions correctly through e-mail will be entered into a pot to determine the top 4 seeds, and those 4 seeds will be posted on Aug. 7.

On Wednesday, August 8, we’ll post another set of 3 questions, and the first 50 to submit the right answers through e-mail will be entered into a pot to determine the next 4 seeds, which will be posted on August 9.

Friday, August 10 will be the last entry date, and the first 8 e-mails with the right answers will fill in the last 8 seeds for the round of 16, and will be posted that day.

You are eligible to submit an entry more than once if you’re not chosen as a seed.  So if you miss out on being one of the first 4 seeds on Monday, Aug. 6, you can try to enter for the second 4 seeds on Aug. 8, or the final 8 seeds on Aug. 10.

If you don’t make it into the tournament, you can still win individual prizes throughout the entry period by checking giveaway related posts for instructions.

All e-mail submissions will go to 90minutessoccer@gmail.com for the giveaway.

How to play:

The tournament will run the week after seeds are determined, from August 13-16, with matches being played under the same premise as the entry process.  In each match, players will have to answer and submit 3 questions derived from info on the 90:00 website, 90:00 Myspace page, and Ariel’s Myspace page.  The winner of each match will determined by which participant submits the correct answers first.

Monday, Aug. 13 is the round of 16, Aug. 14 is the quarter-finals, Aug. 15 is the semis, and Aug. 16 is the final.  The winner of the tournament will be posted on Aug. 17 on 90soccer.com.

And same as the entry process, those who don't make it into the tournament can participate in the daily giveaways that will be included in the tournament posts during the tournament.

Everyone’s got a chance to get in on it.  Have fun!

More KTG on TV
Two of our songs from our album Touch will be appearing on a show called The Block on MTV's N Network, their nighttime teen channel. We don't as yet have information on the airing schedule of the show, but it is supposed to premiere this year. The two songs are Alive (which appeared on an ABC primetime show last year) and Control. So, I guess one of my dreams since I was a teenager of being on MTV has come true. Though, not exactly the way I planned. Stay tuned.

Radio Update
I recently appeared on a couple internet radio shows for some interesting in-depth discussions. Listen to my interview with Duane Lamb and Byrd Pressley on their wonderful show on IMC Radio. Go to IMCRadio.com, click on "featured artist," and scroll down to December 21st. And please check out their show when you have a chance.
Speaking of radio, our song "Alive" was on the Top 40 rock chart of QBS Radio Doha in Qatar for 14 weeks and went up to #3! Radio Doha's charts are decided by the listeners and most of the songs are by major label bands. If you know a radio show that's open to playing independent music where Kiss the Girl would fit the format, please contact me and let me know. Thanks!

KTG's New Album

Our new album, Touch, will be released some time in June of this year. It's our finest effort to date and builds from the sound we started on our first CD released in 2000 - passionate songs backed by strong, sensual grooves - we call it "classic rock meets the urban underground." The cover art will feature the word "Touch" in many different languages. The theme of the album is making connections with other people, and also living life to the fullest, being alive, awake, aware. These are songs that will move you and make you move, so please pick up a copy when it's available. Touch took us a year to finish. We're really proud of this one.

KTG Music on TV

One of the singles from our upcoming new album, Touch, called Alive will be appearing on a Canadian show in February and on the ABC Family Channel in the United States this summer! Our licensing representative thinks this will be the first of many placements on TV, film and related media due to the strength of the songs on our upcoming album and the thematic, soundtrack quality that our music has. Check back here for more details as the US airdate approaches. And sign up for our mailing list so we can keep you up to date.

KTG defends live music in SF

Robert headed down to City Hall recently to speak in favor of granting a local SF bar, The Blackthorn Tavern, a renewal of their live music license. He talked about the threat to live music in San Francisco, which has been suffering ever since the Dot Com gold rush a few years back, and the cultural importance of music to the city. He also wrote the petition which was signed by neighbors and vendors in the area. The license was in danger of not being renewed due to noise complaints of a small number of residents near the bar. Fortunately the license was granted. The story appeared in the local paper, including quotes by Robert.

Two new KTG singles

Just finished mixing two new singles, "Ride" and "Control." "Ride" was a problem child, and we did three mixes before getting the result we wanted. Afterwards, thankfully, "Control" was more merciful and came together rather easily. We’re really excited by the results. You can hear samples of the songs on the sounds page.

Catwalk released at WMC 2005

Our new single, "Catwalk," along with the dance remix, is being released today at the Winter Music Conference in Miami by Uno Records. Pool/NET, a record pool distributor, will be distributing the song to clubs across the United States.
